The source of the Nile!

Following the muddy, slippery, slimy Wandle Trail from Beddington Park to Wandsworth. I have been reassured that this is the source of the Nile by a Scout leader so it must be true. (Always trust Scout leaders!)

The ups of Epsom Downs

Over an hour of cycling to the Epsom Downs Racecourse! But where are all the horses??? We saw one blind person riding a SeeAbility (www.seeability.org) tandem bike. I've always wanted to try one of them.

Distance covered: 16.6 miles
Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes

Bike mechanics

Any good cyclist must be able to fix a puncture. A cyclist learning how to fix a puncture is like a baby taking its first steps. It is a milestone, a turning point, the day you can truly call yourself a cyclist. Today was that day for me. And to this day, it is the best ride I've been on.

I didn't have to do any cycling!!! 😀

The adventure begins...

Saturday, 20th October morning was the best I've ever experienced! Things only started to get bad when I woke up. What was going to happen? Would I be forced to cut the grass or pick up all the leaves? Potentially even put my washing away! I soon realised all of these would've been better when I was taken to my garage and told to pick up a bicycle. If there is one thing I've learned from that morning, it's that you should not attempt physical exercise in your jeans and you shouldn't continue the same exercise in the same jeans for the next 6 weeks!!! (Definitely not what I did!)

Distance covered: 8 miles
